| Why does Richmond need an ArtsFund campaign? |

| In Richmond – and across the U.S. – arts
and cultural organizations are only able to generate about half
the funds they need to operate through ticket sales, memberships
or other earned sources.
ArtsFund’s employee campaigns help these hardworking
groups make ends meet and keep ticket prices affordable, while
they continue to meet the educational and entertainment needs
of adults children and families in the area. |

| Do Employee Campaigns really work? |
 |
| YES. Employee campaigns that raise awareness and
funding for the arts have a history of success in cities across
the country. In 2003, united arts funds in
34 cities raised $21.8 million through employee giving. And the
movement is growing – employee
giving totals nearly doubled between the years of 1995 and 2003. |

and services of Richmond’s arts and cultural organizations…

children
- attract visitors, national conventions and meetings, and

- serve residents of the entire Metro Richmond region, from
the city itself to the far edges of the surrounding suburbs
- bring more than $50 million into the local economy every
year, generating $75 million in revenue and providing more
than 2,500 jobs.

in town? Can’t I direct those gifts through ArtsFund? |

value your support of the specific services they provide. Our
philosophy is to encourage you to maintain direct relationships
with the organizations you know best, and to make a second
gift through ArtsFund. That second gift is a civic gift
to invest yourself and your family in the wonderful breadth
and diversity that Richmond’s art scene has to offer.
